taterwood: I absolutely adore the way that purple hair dye came out! Since I searched "electric amethyst" and it came up, I'm assuming you used manic panic... I really want my hair to come out that shade, but those colours turn out differently on everyone. What did you do to get that colour? How long did you leave it in for, any special techniques, what shade was your hair before etc
if your hair is blonde like in your photo, you’ll probably just need to lighten once or twice at the most until you get a pale yellow, then use a silver toner before the manic panic. give your hair at least a day in between each step. immediately after rinsing out the electric amethyst, douse your entire head in white vinegar and leave it on for 10 minutes then rinse again (this will neutralize your ph levels and keep the color in longer). i answered someone else here about how i did it, so use it as a guidepost if you want but my hair was black beforehand so my process was a lot more extreme than the average gal would need. good luck, that color rules and is still not available in most stores.
